I really enjoy Jeannette Wells writing. I would recommend reading this one first and then reading her own Memoir...Glass Castle. That way you have a little more background to the family. I read this just recently and when I got to the end where there is the picture of the newlyweds...it finally dawned on me that those were her parents who became such AWFUL parents and were so neglectful. Kind of a sad story, but so well written.
